ProsperReport.com announces Public Citizen
to defend web site against cybersquatting,
trademark infringement, and unfair competition
accusations by Prosper Marketplace Inc.

WASHINGTON, D.C - U.S. The nationally prominent non-profit public interest law firm
Public Citizen has agreed to represent
ProsperReport.com in its battle to defend free speech.
On December 14th, 2007, ProsperReport.com was sent a
threatening letter by
Prosper Marketplace’s
lawyers accusing the site of cybersquatting, trademark infringement, and unfair competition. ProsperReport.com denies these allegations and has enlisted the help of
Paul Levy and the litigation arm of
Public Citizen to stop Prosper Marketplace’s attempt to stifle free speech.
On December 24th, 2007, Public Citizen sent a
response letter to Prosper Marketplace's attorney rebutting these allegations.
